Beit el Baraka is and non profit organisation that ensures dignity to destitute Lebanese families and retirees, by assisting them in their struggle with the increasing cost of living. In a spirit of respect and support, we aim to provide a tailor-made, accurate and beneficial response to Lebanon’s economic and multi-dimensional challenges that are depriving over 2 million citizens of their most basic needs and rights. And today, thousands of families are enrolled in the « Decent Livelihood » support program that offers three services:

A free supermarket
Full medical coverage
Home refurbishing and rent

To be able to continue assisting more devastated families, we have decided to venture into sustainable agriculture.
But in Lebanon, agriculture boasts significant untapped potential hindered mainly by corrupt governance and its repercussions on the agriculture sector. With demand greatly exceeding local supply despite the country’s ideal cropping conditions, a return to the land is more than crucial to build a more resilient and sustainable Lebanon. This is what ee hope to achieve through our first agro farming project that stretches over 500,000 sqm of organic land that will offer healthy food to thousands of additional families to whom we are offering fruits, vegetables, grains, artisanal dairy foods and preserves, eggs, tannour bread and honey.
Considering the current dire situation in Lebanon, we saw the need to give the nature of our donations a more sustainable dimension. By supporting our agro farming projects, donors will noe be able to help thousands of destitute families, not once but for years to come.
